  • Steven R. Rubenstein

    Steven R. Rubenstein has been a partner of Rubenstein, Meyerson, Fox, Mancinelli, Conte & Bern, P.A. since its founding in 1988. His practice has focused on family law for most of his 41-year career. He has handled thousands of divorce cases. He is certified by the State of New Jersey as a matrimonial law attorney, and he is also certified as a divorce mediator. Mr. Rubenstein is generally considered to be one of the premier divorce mediators in Bergen County and is a founding member of the New Jersey Collaborative Law Group. He was named in 2003 to Ten Leaders of Matrimonial & Divorce Law of Northern New Jersey and in 2012 and 2013 as a New Jersey Super Lawyer. In 1992, Mr. Rubenstein and his partner, Lawrence N. Meyerson, represented Hana Fhima, a Rockland County, New York woman in a highly publicized custody case in which her son, Shai Fhima Rueven, was abducted by an orthodox rabbi in Brooklyn. The son was missing for two years, and when he was finally located, Mr. Rubenstein and Mr. Meyerson represented Hana in a protracted but ultimately successful custody litigation case.   • Lawrence N. Meyerson

    Lawrence N. Meyerson is a founding partner of Rubenstein, Meyerson, Fox, Mancinelli, Conte & Bern, P.A. His practice includes elder law and guardianship, estate and trust law, Medicaid issues and real estate transactions. In an ongoing capacity he serves as counsel to Adult Protective Services of Essex County, New Jersey, often representing the elderly and their families in guardianship proceedings before the court. Dr. Meyerson is widely recognized as one of the premier authorities on elder abuse, neglect and exploitation. He is recognized by the judiciary as an experienced practitioner in the area of guardianship law and probate law. He has received numerous court appointments in several counties as guardian ad litem, Administrator C.T.A., Trustee, court-appointed attorney, and mediator for civil and probate litigation cases. Dr. Meyerson is a frequent guest speaker at numerous conferences giving presentations on guardianship, elder law, and estate planning. A native of Hillsdale, New Jersey, Dr. Meyerson received a doctorate degree in mathematics education from the University of Buffalo and went on to be a professor of mathematics at Northern Michigan University. He received his law degree from Seton Hall University. Dr. Meyerson stresses that his training in mathematics and probability “have helped me see the world a little differently,” and have greatly influenced the way he has practiced law. Dr. Meyerson has not forgotten his roots in education; he has served on the Pascack Valley Regional High School Board of Education and served as its president for four years. During his tenure, he helped pioneer the use of “one-to-one” laptop computers through the school district, an initiative that has served as a model for school districts nationally.   • Anne M. Fox

    Anne M. Fox has been a partner with Rubenstein, Meyerson, Fox, Mancinelli, Conte & Bern, PA. since 2001. She is an experienced litigator with a diversified background, having handled complex commercial cases, estate litigation, employment law matters and medical malpractice cases. She also has extensive experience in real estate transactions, both residential and commercial. Today she concentrates solely on matrimonial law. She handles complex divorce litigation involving custody and parenting time disputes, as well as litigating cases with significant financial issues. Ms. Fox handles domestic violence trials and Division of Youth and Family Services matters. Additionally, she serves as pro bono counsel participating in the Alternatives to Domestic Violence Program. Ms. Fox served as an adjunct professor at the Ramapo College of New Jersey teaching Business Law. She is a certified mediator. Ms. Fox serves on the Early Settlement Panel program assisting in settling matrimonial cases in the Superior Court, Bergen County, New Jersey.   • Robert J. Mancinelli

    In 2007, Robert J. Mancinelli, merged his private law practice and joined what was then, Rubenstein, Meyerson & Fox. During his legal career, Mr. Mancinelli has focused his practice on business and government law, handling employment law, corporate law, commercial transactional law, commercial and residential real estate, banking law, business litigation law, insurance law, personal injury law, real estate and land use matters. For more than a decade, Mr. Mancinelli served as both the Chief Financial Officer and General Counsel to one of the country’s largest corporate travel management companies. Since 1993, he has served as Legal Counsel to the Insurance Commission for the Township of Woodbridge (NJ). He is well-known for his expertise in insurance defense litigation, medical insurance benefits and ERISA regulations, and representing both public and private-sector companies and public entities in creating and sustaining self-insurance programs for their workforce. During his career, Mr. Mancinelli has represented several municipalities in many capacities, including as borough attorney, tax appeal attorney, land use attorney, special litigation attorney and labor counsel. He has extensive experience in the general practice areas of wills, trusts and estate law, land use and land use litigation, civil litigation, municipal law, real estate and commercial transactions. He is widely known throughout the region for his commitment to his clients and expertise in these areas of the law, and has earned the prestigious Martindale Hubbell Rating of “AV” indicating that peer attorneys rank him at the highest level of professional excellence. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Conte was a partner at a well-known firm based in Glen Rock, New Jersey, where he maintained a successful practice focusing on transactional law, trust and estate law, and general litigation. From 1985 to 1999, he practiced as a full partner at a succession of firms based in Saddle Brook, New Jersey. During that time, he also practiced with his father, John A.     Douglas M. In addition, Andrew has gained estate planning experience and has advised clients on their estate planning needs and drafted for them Wills, Power of Attorneys and Health Care Proxies. Andrew has also received several judicial appointments and has served as Court Appointed Attorney on various guardianship actions. Andrew is developing an expertise in privacy law and was certified as a Certified Information Privacy Professional/United States (CIPP/US) by the International Association of Privacy Professionals in December 2012. Andrew has authored several articles on privacy law, examining issues ranging from the New Jersey Data Breach Notification Act to the problems of Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act. He intends to utilize his developing privacy expertise to advise clients on their regulatory responsibilities and to assist clients formulate both external privacy notices and internal privacy policies. Andrew received his undergraduate degree from the George Washington University in 2005 and his Juris Doctorate from Rutgers School of law-Newark in 2010.     Evelyn Nissirios joined Rubenstein, Meyerson, Fox, Mancinelli, Conte & Bern in 2013 as an associate in the family law department. In addition to family law, Evelyn practices in the areas of guardianships, real estate and transactional matters. Her educational background includes a Juris Doctor degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan, and an undergraduate degree with a dual major in Economics and Philosophy from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Upon graduating law school, she served as a legal clerk at the New Jersey Attorney General’s Office Judiciary and Prosecutors Section. Emily devotes her practice exclusively to matrimonial and family law and has done so since her admission to the New Jersey State Bar in 2006.     Beth L. Barnhard concentrates her practice in elder and disability law, which includes Medicaid applications and administrative Fair Hearings, asset preservation planning, guardianships, protective arrangements, estate planning, estate administration, and estate litigation. Beth graduated cum laude from Ithaca College, where she received departmental honors in Anthropology. She received a Specialty Certificate in American Sign Language Interpreting from Union County College, and is proficient in American Sign Language.
